Step 15 of 40: Insert/Move New Worksheet


This step illustrates how to Insert or Move a New Worksheet.


In Step 15, insert a new worksheet by first pressing Ctrl+S to Save your work. Then, activate the Account Listing worksheet and choose Home | Insert | Insert Sheet. Double-click the new sheet tab or choose Home | Format | Rename. Type Chart of Accounts and press Enter. Worksheet names can have up to 31 characters, this sheet name is 17 characters long.

To move the new worksheet, choose Home | Format | Move or Copy . Excel automatically chooses the first worksheet in the Before sheet list. Choose OK to move the Worksheet to this location.

TIP: You can also drag worksheet tabs into a new position in lieu of steps 6-8.
